Reconnect LinkedIn
Got an email saying your LinkedIn needs to be reconnected? It's legitimate — here's why it happens and how to fix it in a few minutes.
Yes, that email is really from us
When your agent loses access to your LinkedIn account, we email you asking to reconnect. It's not a phishing attempt and it doesn't mean anything is wrong with your LinkedIn account — sessions simply expire sometimes. To be safe, don't click links in any email you distrust: you can always go straight to the app and check Settings → Connections yourself. If LinkedIn shows as disconnected there, the email was genuine.
Why connections drop
- You changed your LinkedIn password or logged out of LinkedIn in your browser.
- LinkedIn ran a security check or expired the session on its side — this happens periodically to everyone.
- You cleared cookies or reinstalled your browser.
While disconnected, your agent pauses all outreach. Nothing is sent, nothing is at risk — but follow-ups in your cadence wait too, so reconnect promptly.
How to reconnect
Reconnecting uses the same Chrome extension you used during setup:
- Open Chrome on your computer and make sure The Sales Ninja extension is installed. If you removed it, reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store.
- Go to linkedin.com and log in to the same LinkedIn account your agent uses — your personal profile, not a company page.
- Open the extension and sign in with your Sales Ninja account email if asked.
- Follow the reconnect prompt in the extension.
That's it. You don't need to keep the tab, the extension, or your computer open afterwards — once reconnected, your agent works server-side again.
How to confirm it worked
- Settings → Connections shows LinkedIn as connected.
- The extension shows a connected state.
- Activity resumes on your Dashboard — typically with the next scheduled batch, so give it a few hours rather than expecting instant sends. You can also ask your Ninja: "is my LinkedIn connected?"
If reconnecting doesn't work
- Double-check you're logged into the same LinkedIn account you originally connected — a different account won't bind.
- Make sure you're using Chrome with the official extension, not another browser.
- If LinkedIn itself is asking you to verify your identity (a code, a puzzle), complete that on LinkedIn first, then retry the extension.
- Still stuck after that? Contact support with your account email and a screenshot of what the extension shows.
