No activity today?

Quiet periods are usually normal pacing — here's how to tell normal quiet from a real problem, step by step.

First: a few quiet hours is normal

Your agent doesn't send continuously. It works in batches at human-like times and spaces actions out to protect your LinkedIn account — several hours with nothing new is expected behavior, not a malfunction. "It hasn't run in three hours" is almost always just the gap between batches. See A day in your agent's life for the full daily rhythm.

Nothing needs to stay open for the agent to run — not the app, not the Chrome extension, not your computer.

If it's been longer than a few hours, walk through the checks below in order.

1. Check the Dashboard for today's activity

Open Dashboard and look at today's numbers and recent activity. Activity often happened earlier than you expect — a morning batch you didn't see still counts as a working day. You can also ask your Ninja directly: "what did you do today?"

If today shows activity: you're fine. Quiet now just means the day's batch is done or the next one hasn't started.

2. Check your LinkedIn connection

Go to Settings → Connections. If LinkedIn shows as disconnected or needs attention, that's your answer — the agent pauses all outreach when it can't reach your account, and resumes once you reconnect. Follow Reconnect LinkedIn. Check your email too: we send a notice when reconnection is needed.

3. Consider warm-up and limits

Two situations produce intentionally low or zero sending:

  • Warm-up — in your first days, the agent ramps volume up gradually. Very light activity in week one is by design.
  • Weekly invite limit — LinkedIn caps connection requests at roughly 100–200 per week. If the cap is reached, new requests pause until the limit resets on Sunday. Other work (follow-ups in the cadence, sourcing, qualification) can continue in the meantime.

4. A full day with zero activity: contact us

One honest threshold: if a full calendar day passes with no new activity on the Dashboard — no sends, no sourcing, no follow-ups — and your LinkedIn connection shows as healthy, that is not normal batching. Contact support and include:

  • your account email,
  • the last day you saw activity,
  • a screenshot of your Dashboard.

We'd rather check a healthy account than have you wait on a stuck one.
